2017 Alumni Foundation Scholarships
On May 16, 2017 the Bingham High Alumni Foundation presented six scholarships to graduating seniors of the Class of 2017. The following received a $1500 scholarship in the name of the person or group listed next to their name:
Olivia Madrian—Bingham High Memorial Scholarship (given by current Bingham Miners in memory of inspirational Bingham Miners whose lives were taken during their high school careers or shortly thereafter.)
Alyson Williams—Yvonne Cardwell Scholarship
Nathan Balls—Cal Crump Scholarship
Lauren Keetch—Audio Enhancement/Claudia Anderson Scholarship
Alexis Hansen—Hogan Insurance Scholarship
Jack Rasmuson—Hogan Insurance Scholarship
Scholarship night was a great success. Alumni Board members read a few of the many accomplishments of each scholarship winner and then presented him/her with a check for $750 (the other $750 will be given after the students finish their first semester of college) and copies of the Bingham High history books. Each scholarship recipient then was asked to make some remarks. Light refreshments of cupcakes, an assortment of vegetables, and punch were served after the awards ceremony. The Bingham Alumni Foundation wants to thank all alumni members who made contributions during the year. These scholarships were made possible by the contributions from Bingham Alumni who have wanted want to “give back” to their school in order to help current Bingham Miners. One of the purposes of the Alumni Foundation is to fund scholarships for outstanding graduating seniors.
All alumni are invited to contribute to the scholarship fund to endow scholarships for future Bingham Miners. Donations may be sent to the
